EXHIBITION DESIGN
The exhibition projects below highlight my skills relating to exhibition design, from development and design to production and installation. I have served as lead designer on projects, laid out complex galleries, and created custom cases to protect specimens. I am also a prolific exhibition graphic designer and an avid learner of all aspects of fabrication and installation.

In September 2025, we debuted our "New Mexico Rocks!" mobile exhibit in the NM Department of Cultural Affairs' Wonders on Wheels van, which reaches kids and families where they're at in schools and public libraries.

Leading Design
I led design on a complex and rapid project to create a mobile exhibit for the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. In only 3 months, I carried this project through from start to finish, managing all resources and personnel involved.
3D Modeling
I am constantly improving my skills in 3D modeling by laying out gallery spaces and creating construction drawings for cases, risers, and more in SketchUp Pro.

I have been working with Gaston Design Inc. to lay out casts and cases for their traveling exhibit, Animal Armor. This layout took several iterations, especially to fit our star specimen, a Deinosuchus!

Using my knowledge of making cavity mounts, I created 4 custom, long-term display cases for fragile shale fossil specimens in the new Ancient Life Hall. These are an original design.

For the "New Mexico Rocks!" exhibit in the Wonders on Wheels van, I had to design cases that were both sturdy and slim to maximize use of a small space. I also designed holes in the acrylic to allow visitors to touch the rocks and minerals displayed!

Case Design
For the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science's first new permanent exhibition since 2008, I created 4 custom cases drawing on my background in collections care to protect fragile specimens.
Exhibition Graphics
I find exhibition graphics particularly energizing and rewarding because I get to create coherent narratives and immersive environments for audiences. Explore the linked 3D tours of some of these highlighted exhibitions to experience them virtually.

I designed 60 graphics for the newest permanent exhibition at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science that opened in February 2025. This exhibition covers Paleozoic New Mexico and the diversity of life that existed before the dinosaurs.

I adapted the graphics I designed for the Hall of Ancient Life to create 8 banners to tour around to state libraries and educate the public about Paleozoic New Mexico.

"Celebrating 25 Years of Straight No Chaser" was an exhibition celebrating an internationally-touring acapella group that originated at Indiana University. The members of the group attended the exhibition opening the same night as one of their performances at IU and drew large crowds of fans. You can experience the exhibit in 3D at the provided link.

Over the past year and a half, I have been picking up as many fabrication skills as possible, most recently learning welding and metal grinding in order to create a custom railing to protect a Jay Matternes mural.

I have helped install numerous exhibitions. The largest install so far has been the Hall of Ancient Life, which involved painting a custom mural and placing 60 graphics and 323 fossil specimens, as well as casts and environmental groundwork.

Fabrication + Installation
I am an avid learner and have been picking up fabrication skills in metalworking, woodworking, and large-scale printing and vinyl installation. I am also an experienced exhibition installer.
